~~ The Balance of Safety and Return. As a student of the Stock Market, my goal is safety of principal. Making money during the good times is important, but it is equally important to protect the assets during bad times. The trading rules of PRISM are designed to help us avoid high risk periods and only invest when we have a positive expectancy of making money. In following the PRISM Technology we do not attempt to trade short term fluctuations but we do expect to miss the most of every down move.
To enhance return we review the 10 Economic Sectors daily and only invest in ETF's, Stocks and Mutual funds that are leading the market and are in an uptrend. These leaders are determined based on their Return, Momentum, Stochastics, MACD and Relative Strength. This dynamic ranking system allow us to identify the ETF's, mutual funds or stocks that have intermediate term strength and meet the PRISM buy criteria. If the invested position begins to underperform, or another fund or stock advances significantly ahead of its ranking, PRISM will alert us to this and we trade up to the better fund, stock or ETF. We want to be in the right sectors (following the leading Generals) at the right time and by so doing so, we can enhance investment return over time. The PRISM technology is updated daily and uses a green and red as well buy and sell signals to help you identify winners and losers.
Four-Step Process. In following the the PRISM style, we (1) Invest only when we have a edge. We have the edge by finding the leading sectors in from the 10 Eco Leaders. The edge is initiated when the breadth and momentum indicators (McClellan Oscillators) found in the current exchange report says it's favorable and PRISM gives us a buy. (2) Invest only with the leaders...the Top Generals) We used the best ranking systems and technicals available to seek out the top equity issues. We measure performance only. To warrant consideration.... it must be performing well right now. (3) Trade up to a better equity position when we see the Generals leadership change. Our PRISM technology will alert us to this change. There are no issue that go up forever. As a issue begins to weaken or move sideways we look for another ETF, Stock or Mutual Fund that has increasing price momentum. We are always looking for better funds the leading Generals are driving. (4) Sell when the risk is excessive. The investment PRISM model alerts us when market risk is excessive.
